										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Early Years Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) qualification is<br />
suitable for a Level 3 practitioner in a private, voluntary or independent setting. All early<br />
years providers are required to have arrangements in place to identify and support children<br />
with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) and to promote equality of opportunity<br />
for children in their care. This is an important role to ensure the best possible educational<br />
outcomes are achieved for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The<br />
qualification is designed for those already working in a SENCo role as part of their Early<br />
Years Practitioner role, or those who are interested in doing so. This qualification is also<br />
appropriate for childminders.</p>

<strong>Unit 01 – Roles and Responsibilities of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator in the</strong><br />
<strong>Early Years</strong><br />
&#8211; The aim of this unit is to explore the role of statutory guidance, legislation and<br />
intervention strategies and how there inform the role and responsibilities of the<br />
SENCo<br />

<p>This qualification is ideal for those already working in a Level 3 position and looking to enhance their career with a Level 4, to become a HLTA or similar position. It is important that you have responsibility to make change in at least one specific area within your workplace.</p>

The Advanced Practice pathway is great for those wishing to develop their career but remain active practitioners. You must be aged 19 or over with a full and relevant Level 3 qualification appropriate for the age range with which you are working. This is particularly relevant to those working in early years, such as the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator). <p><strong>Unit 01 Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment</strong><br />
This is a knowledge unit allowing you to demonstrate your understanding of the practices and principles of internal quality assurance.</p>
<p><strong>Unit 02 Internally assure the quality of assessment</strong><br />
This unit enables you to carry out the role of a quality assurer, planning your work and evaluating the quality of assessment and giving feedback.</p>
