This qualification enables you to work as a fully qualified assessor of vocational achievement.
Entry Requirements:
To begin this qualification and become an assessor, you must be occupationally competent in the area of expertise you are wanting to assess. This means that you must already hold a Level 3 qualification or higher within your specialist subject.
This can be in any field! Whether you will be assessing childcare, teaching and learning, plumbing or even equine qualifications, this is the assessor qualification for you.
Qualification Structure:
This qualification has three units:
Unit 01 – Â Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
This is a knowledge unit allowing you to demonstrate your understanding of the practices and principles of assessment.
Unit 02 – Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment
This unit enables you to support and assess the competence of your candidates through the process of gathering evidence in the work environment such as direct observation, work products and professional discussion.
Unit 03 – Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding
This unit enables you to support and assess the vocational skills, knowledge and understanding through a range of evidence such as questioning, assignments, projects and case studies.
